Apache's policy on "loaner" equipment.

As consumers, many of us have adapted in such ways that we are impacted by one or more electronic gadgets each and every day of our lives. Only when these gadgets fail do we realize the dependance we have aquired for their services.

We understand that you, as a service customer, want to get your gadget back functioning like new, as quickly as possible. That's why we offer our loaner program. In most instances free of charge, we loan you a re-conditioned item to use until yours is repaired. There are circumstances however where our time must be spent each time these loaners get used. For instance, customers with microwave oven repairs find the loaner program extremely attractive. Although our clientele are caring and considerate, a microwave oven can simply not be loaned out and returned directly to our shelf. As a general rule, they must be tested and cleaned before being returned to our program. This is why we must charge a small service fee when items of this type are loaned.

For microwave oven loaners, Apache charges a one time service fee of $10.00. When the customer returns the loaner oven, $5.00 of that fee will be applied to their service bill if the oven is returned clean.

Your responsibility for "loaner" equipment.

Our loaner equipment is released to you on a good faith basis. We have not had any serious problems to date with negligence or abuse of this policy. If a situation warrents however, blatent abuse or negligence of our loaners can result in the witholding of your repair item(s) until the situation can be mutually resolved.

 All loaner equipment is expected to be returned when your unit is repaired. You will be notified when your repair is complete and will be expected to pick to it up within a few days of that notification. Your repaired unit will not be released until the loaner you were given is returned.

If your unit cannot be economically repaired, you will be notified of such as part of your estimate. Following the time of notification, any loaner equipment must be returned to us within a few days.

If equipment brought to us for repair is damaged beyond economical repair costs, and the customer has a loaner in his possesion, he may choose the option to purchase the loaner if he elects to. We have a huge inventory of re-conditioned items that perform like new.
